Let’s get loud!

I am beyond thrilled to announce my involvement with Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (WESK) as an ambassador of the official Woman-Owned Saskatchewan Business brand identity! Through this initiative, local majority woman-owned businesses can now loudly and proudly be identified, making it so much easier to support woman entrepreneurs.

I have been an entrepreneur since 2011 after leaving a 25 year career that spanned journalism, communications, and corporate strategy.

My first company was Lynear Thinking Strategy & Communications in 2011 which is about helping business leaders get to where they are going.  My second business was SKY Magazine in 2012, a quarterly print publication and social media platform for predominantly women owned businesses.

I started ZÖE in 2016 because I love fashion but most importantly I love how fashion can literally change lives.  My business is dedicated to representing women entrepreneurs in the fashion business and it is dedicated to helping women literally put their best foot forward.

In my career as a journalist, corporate planner, and executive I have seen and lived the importance of how a woman walks into a room - metaphorically and in real time.

My business is also inspired by a very personal reason - which was to, in some way, assist my daughter Sara Armstrong, a fashion designer, in building and growing her career in the fashion industry. She has been a big part of building the business. Five years later she continues to be my inspiration even though it is I who is in awe of her accomplishments.

I love my business and what I can do with it. I fight for it. I love that I can tailor a special experience for my guests who choose ZÖE to be a part of their important life event. And I love that it can be part of a better world by fostering original slow Canadian fashion made by real people.

As an entrepreneur I never give up telling our story. I am putting my radio journalism background to work next to  launch The Walk Matters Podcast - to create a new platform to promote women entrepreneurs in fashion and design.  Watch for details!!

Get involved and support women owned businesses.

If you’re a majority woman-owned business, you can become an official woman-owned Saskatchewan Business too!
